The Otten on Main is located in Kansas City’s historic downtown Arts District. Built as a hotel and brothel originally in the 1920’s we have renovated and restored this building to all its former glory. Including lounge rooms, a newly added bar area, office spaces, a grand ballroom big enough for any photo shoot and of course our sweeping rooftop lounge views with elevator access. The Otten is filled with rustic charm and character that puts your guests and clients in an upper-class atmosphere with an air of elite seclusion.
At the Otten on Main we have decided to share two levels of grandeur for your photography needs. Our grand ballroom is on the second floor of the chique Kansas City Downtown area on the crossroads. Plenty of oversized windowspace offers great natural lighting as well as the exposed brick and gorgeous cedar accent wall gives a rustic feel that is sure to add loads of charm to your next video or photoshoot. Look out our windows and you can see we are situated right in the heart of Kansas City next to the Freight House with views of Union Station. Our cozy cafe lights are strung across our ceiling offering a magical glow and ambience and we also have a bar area available as well.
Additionally, we have decided to open up our third level VIP rooftop lounge for select access dates as well. From our rooftop you have the clearest and most picturesque backdrop of the famous Kansas City skyline in town. You can almost touch the Western Auto sign. It’s easy to capture everything from the Opera House to Crown Center and beyond in one amazing panoramic scene. Whether you want to have some unique family portraits taken in a stunning location this year or maybe you need a space big enough to handle the whole office, with an amazing Kansas City backdrop, situated by the historic train tracks and views of Union Station, and beyond, we are opening up our location to any and all photography needs.
